This is a Smoky shelter

This is a typical shelter in the Smokys. Large rock and stone. Alerts 12-14, and are frequently full or overcrowded.

Nice meeting you and thanks for keeping a spot for me and Spanky in this shelter. Keep in touch and if you need something let me know. I can drive within a few hours if there’s an emergency. Have a great hike and don’t forget to enjoy the journey.

  2. Stump Bear,
At the risk of confusing you even more, what Delois means is Pecks Shelter( Sat, May 4)…I too appreciate your saving us a spot and enjoyed breakfasting with you the next morning. It’s always good to see strong women out on the trail positive/determined to get to Maine. You can do it Chop!
